ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has dismissed a petition seeking the disqualification of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chief Imran Khan.

rces informed media that the ECP ha
d dismissed the petition as it was not persuaded with regards to the matter. The peti
tion was filed by Hashim Bhut
ta, however, the petitioner remained absent
during the hearing.
Sources said the petition sought disqualification of the PTI chief under article 62 and 63 of the constitution. The peti
tion was to be heard on Monday but ECP dismissed it because of the absence of the petitioner.
